As a non-profit, charitable organization, the Assiniboine Park Conservancy relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations and community groups to make our work in education, conservation, research and recreation possible here at the Assiniboine Park and Assiniboine Park Zoo. Financial support for the Assiniboine Park and Zoo can be provided in a variety of ways to suit your preferences.

Outright Gifts

You can make a gift to support the Assiniboine Park Conservancy any time. You can make your donation online or by one of these other convenient giving options.

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving is a great way to plan ahead and spread your support for the Park or Zoo over the year. This can be arranged by scheduling monthly withdrawals through your financial institution or debiting a credit card. You can set up your monthly giving plan online using Visa or MasterCard. Make a Legacy Gift

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) can assist you with virtually any type of legacy gift, including bequests (willed gifts) and gifts of life insurance. Download the PDF below for suggested wording for wills. If you have already made a gift to APC in your will, we would love to recognize you for this special gift. If you are comfortable doing so, please complete the Planned Gift Confirmation Form.

Make a Gift of Securities

Thanks to federal tax incentives, many donors are turning their appreciated stocks, bonds and mutual fund units into charitable gifts. Gifts of securities are exempt from capital gains taxes and donors receive a tax receipt for the full market value of the shares at the date of the transfer.

Tribute Gifts

The Tribute Program provides the opportunity to honour or pay tribute to a loved one, to commemorate a special occasion, or to “leave your mark” in Assiniboine Park. Donations support the Assiniboine Park Conservancy in its work of enhancing, protecting, and managing the beautiful Assiniboine Park and Zoo. Donations received through the Tribute Program are immediately put to work in the area of greatest need. All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Adopt a Bench

Select a bench that is available for adoption (i.e. it does not already have a plaque on the front). You may want to select a few options in case one is already spoken for. Take note of the four-digit tag number on the back of the bench and identify your order of priority, then plan your inscription for the customized plaque and submit the order form.

MemoryStones

MemoryStones engraved with donor messages are currently laid in the plaza and paths leading up to the Qualico Family Centre. Donors choose their size of brick and then plan an inscription.  More...

Tribute Cards

Make a donation to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy to mark a special occasion, to acknowledge the passing of a loved one, or even just to say thank-you! The recipient of your choosing receives a beautiful Assiniboine Park tribute card advising them of your generous donation on their behalf or in memory of their loved one, and you as the donor receive a tax receipt. Available for donations of $20 or more.
