Assiniboine Park Zoo

We are looking forward to opening Assiniboine Park Zoo on Wednesday, May 13 with some modifications in place for the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, visitors, and animals. These modifications are designed to comply with public health orders and guidelines. Before you visit, please click here to read more about the modifications and plan your visit accordingly.

We have based these decisions on the advice of provincial and federal public health authorities and out of care and concern for the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, customers and community. While we know this is temporary and we will return to full operations as soon as possible, we do not yet know with certainty when that will be. Updates will be made available on our website.

Rest assured that our incredible animal care professionals have been working during the closure to ensure the health and well-being of our animals.

As a not-for-profit organization, we value our customers, members, and donors who support our vision to be a place where people experience the wonders of nature in a way that inspires them to conserve it for the future.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, words of encouragement, and ongoing support during these challenging times and look forward to welcoming you back to Assiniboine Park and Zoo as soon as we can!
