Green Action Centre is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in Winnipeg and serving Manitoba since 1985. We are a registered charity, governed by an elected community board. We promote greener living through environmental education and encourage practical green solutions for households, workplaces, schools and communities. Our primary areas of focus include green commuting, composting and waste reduction, sustainable living and resource conservation.
Fit Kids Healthy Kids
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm @ Town Hall & outside Town Hall
Physical activities for families: spike ball, horse shoes, schlockey, floor curling, ladder golf, pool noodle hockey, balance tug-a-war, bowling. PLUS visit the motion zone for stomp and catch, scoops, and balance boards.
Fit Kids Healthy Kids is a Physical Literacy program founded as a partnership between Doctors Manitoba and Sport Manitoba. It teaches children and their adult leaders the fundamentals of movement that make kids confident and competent in sport, recreation, and life. The goal of the program is fit, healthy kids that are active for life. We believe in a holistic approach to these skills through various activities such as low organized games, stationed play, dance, modified sport and free play.
